The Federation of Indian Publishers Elects New Governing Body for 2025–2026

New Delhi, September 29, 2025 – The Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP), the representative body of publishers across India, successfully concluded its 51st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 29, 2025, in New Delhi. The highlight of the evening was the election of the new Governing Body for the term 2025–2026, held in the presence of esteemed members of the publishing fraternity.

The newly elected Governing Body is as follows:

Immediate Past President: Shri Naveen Gupta

President: Shri Ramesh Mittal

Vice President: Shri Pranav Gupta

Secretary: Ms. Pushpita Ghosh

Joint Secretary: Shri Neeraj Govil

Treasurer: Dr. Ashok GuptaImmediate Past President: Shri Naveen Gupta

The new team embodies the Federation’s commitment to furthering the cause of Indian publishing, safeguarding the interests of publishers, and promoting books and reading culture at national and international levels. Each leader brings a wealth of experience and vision to strengthen the Federation’s efforts.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ramesh Mittal, newly elected President of FIP, expressed his gratitude to the members for their confidence and support. He emphasised that the Federation will continue to play a pivotal role in addressing the challenges of the publishing sector, embracing digital opportunities, advocating for stronger copyright protection, and ensuring the growth and global presence of Indian publishing.

Vice President Shri Pranav Gupta highlighted the importance of collective action and innovation in strengthening the publishing ecosystem. He reiterated the Federation’s focus on building stronger collaborations with stakeholders, fostering readership, and encouraging policy initiatives that support education and knowledge dissemination.

The Federation also recognised the invaluable contributions of the outgoing Governing Body, whose efforts over the past year laid a strong foundation for continuity and progress. The seamless transition underscores the Federation’s spirit of teamwork and dedication to its mission.

As the apex body representing publishers in India, FIP has consistently worked to provide a unified voice for the industry. From participating in major international book fairs and policy discussions to addressing copyright and licensing issues, the Federation has been at the forefront of advancing the interests of Indian publishers.
