Indian Reprographic Rights Organisation (IRRO) Elects New Governing Body at Annual General Meeting 2025

New Delhi, September 29, 2025: The Indian Reprographic Rights Organisation (IRRO) proudly announces the election of its new Governing Body for the term 2025–2027 at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 12th September 2025 in New Delhi. The meeting brought together the Governing Members and Executive Committee, reaffirming IRRO’s mission of protecting the rights of creators and strengthening the publishing ecosystem in India.

The newly elected Governing Body comprises distinguished leaders from the publishing and copyright fraternity:

  • Ashok Gupta – Chairman
  • S.S. Awasthy – Vice Chairman
  • Shri Pranav Gupta – Secretary General
  • Pushpita Ghosh – Treasurer

In addition, the Executive Members elected are:

  • Shri Naveen Gupta
  • Shri Ramesh K. Mittal
  • Shri Sahil Gupta
  • Shri Sesh Seshadri
  • Shri B.S. Bagla
  • Shri Mukesh Kumar Aggarwal
  • Chetan K. Bachhotia

Welcoming the new leadership, members expressed confidence that the team will steer IRRO towards greater achievements in safeguarding intellectual property rights, enhancing licensing practices, and ensuring fair royalty distribution to authors and publishers.

The Annual General Meeting served as a platform for constructive dialogue, strategic planning, and collective vision-building. With a blend of continuity and new energy, the Governing Body pledged to focus on reinforcing the role of IRRO in protecting reproduction rights and further strengthening collaborations with stakeholders in education, research, and publishing.

Speaking at the AGM, Chairman Dr. Ashok Gupta highlighted IRRO’s continued commitment to supporting rightsholders and ensuring that their creative efforts are valued and protected. Vice Chairman Dr. S.S. Awasthy emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships within the ecosystem to foster growth and innovation. Shri Pranav Gupta, taking charge as Secretary General, assured members of IRRO’s proactive approach in addressing the evolving challenges in copyright and licensing, while Ms. Pushpita Ghosh, as Treasurer, underlined the organisation’s focus on transparency and accountability.

The AGM also reviewed IRRO’s progress over the past year and outlined new initiatives for the upcoming term. With meaningful discussions and renewed commitment, the session reflected the organisation’s vision of shaping a sustainable publishing environment where creators’ rights are respected and rewarded.

The meeting concluded on a positive note with members acknowledging the collective responsibility of strengthening the role of IRRO nationally and internationally.
