Tom Cruise-Led Actioner “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One” Rakes in Rs 81.5 Crore in Extended Debut Week in India

Tom Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” Achieves a Remarkable Rs 81.5 Crore Nett in Extended First Week at Indian Box Office, Surpassing “Mission Impossible — Fallout” Lifetime Earnings

The action-packed “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” featuring Tom Cruise, has surpassed all expectations at the domestic box office in India. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the film earned an impressive Rs 12.5 crore nett on its opening day and continued its momentum, amassing Rs 73.3 crore nett within the first seven days of release. Notably, the film’s ninth-day collection of Rs 4 crore nett remained on par with its eighth-day earnings of Rs 4.01 crore nett. This phenomenal performance has propelled it beyond the lifetime earnings of its predecessor, “Mission Impossible — Fallout,” which earned Rs 80 crore nett.

Despite its exceptional success, “Mission: Impossible 7” fell short of matching Vin Diesel’s “Fast X” earnings, which reached Rs 82 crore nett during the same nine-day period.

Globally, “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” has grossed an impressive USD 259 million in its debut week, with USD 168 million coming from international markets, according to Box Office Mojo. At the US box office, the film has earned USD 91 million to date.

As the movie heads into its second week, it may face some competition from other highly anticipated releases, including Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” and Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie,” both set to hit cinemas on July 21. Nonetheless, the success of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” remains undeniable, solidifying its position as a blockbuster hit both domestically and globally.
