NUTRICON 2025: Ultimate You Leads the Charge in Redefining Nutritional Excellence

January 27, 2025 by pressster

24/01/2025, Bowring Institute Bangalore, India – NUTRICON 2025 concluded on a high note at the prestigious Bowring Institute in Bangalore, India. This industry-leading conference, organised by Ultimate You—an Innovative Newage Nutraceutical brand under the Mama’s Creation Private Limited umbrella—brought together leading minds from nutrition and healthcare.

The event, held in collaboration with Sagar Chandramma Hospitals and the esteemed Indian Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (IAPEN), showcased the latest advancements and emerging trends in nutritional science. This powerhouse partnership ensured a comprehensive exploration of clinical and consumer-focused nutritional strategies, setting new benchmarks for the industry.

The event commenced with an insightful keynote by Namratha Pramod, a High-Performance Analyst at SAI (Sports Authority of India), who specialises in circadian rhythms and chrononutrition, focusing on optimising eating patterns for better health outcomes. IFPRI’s 2025 report highlights that 38% of Indians choose junk and processed foods, which disrupt circadian rhythms and lead to irregular eating patterns. This dietary habit increases the risk of obesity, Type II Diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Time, frequency, and regularity are the three aspects of eating behaviour that make up chrono-nutrition.

Rinki Kumari, senior dietitian at Fortis Hospital, emphasised the crucial role of nutrition in recovery and long-term health during complex surgeries like Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) and hemicolectomy. Tailored nutrition interventions can optimise patient outcomes post-surgery. There is evidence that remote workers often experience higher stress levels compared to office workers. Medical professionals use total parenteral nutrition (TPN) to support patient recovery, showcasing the importance of personalised nutritional strategies in healthcare.

Following the insightful discussions, Akshith Reddy, Co-founder of Ultimate You, shed light on critical issues facing India’s nutritional landscape. He highlighted the pressing concern of nutrient deficiency, which affects a significant portion of the Indian population.

According to a recent study published in the Journal of Nutrition, over 70% of Indians suffer from vitamin D deficiency, while iron deficiency anaemia affects nearly 53% of women.

The nutraceutical market in India is projected to reach $18 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 21%. This growth presents both opportunities and challenges in addressing nutritional gaps.

In response to these challenges, Akshith stressed the importance of innovative nutraceutical products. He showcased how Ultimate You’s product line, including Ultimate Greens, Glow, Collagen, Fiber, and Daily Whey, can be seamlessly integrated into daily diets to help individuals achieve their wellness goals. These products are designed to address specific nutritional needs identified by recent research, such as the increasing demand for plant-based proteins and gut health supplements.

Akshith’s approach aligns with recent findings from a study in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, which indicates that simplifying nutritional choices can lead to better dietary adherence and improved health outcomes.

By combining scientific innovation with consumer-friendly products, Ultimate You is positioning itself at the forefront of India’s nutraceutical revolution, aiming to bridge the gap between nutritional science and everyday wellness.

“In today’s digital era, simplifying food choices is crucial, as too many options can lead to unhealthy decisions. As a direct-to-consumer brand, we focus on delivering products that blend modern science with ancient methods, ensuring quality and taste in every serving.”

– Akshith Reddy, Co-founder of Ultimate You

Sreemathy Venkatraman, Chief Dietitian, Trustwell Hospital, explored the intricate connection between gut health and hormone balance through the concept of the estrobolome, shedding light on strategies to support women’s health through dietary interventions. This evidence is backed by an NCBI report that states dietary supplement usage rates vary by disease, from 7.7% for cancer to 28.2% for menopausal disorders. It highlights the estrobolome’s role in regulating hormones and the gut-brain axis, emphasising strategies to enhance oestrogen metabolism through microbial enzymes and gut health supplements.

Madhumitha Krishnan, a Consultant with CABHN at TDU, highlighted the synergy between Ayurveda and modern nutritional science, advocating for holistic wellness approaches that blend traditional wisdom with contemporary research methods. This resonates with the World Health Organization’s findings that 70–80% of the global population relies on nonconventional medicines, primarily herbal remedies. Ayurveda emphasises personalised nutrition and simple home remedies like spices to enhance digestion (Agni) and stresses the importance of understanding one’s unique constitution (Prakruthi) to promote health and prevent illness.

Looking ahead, NUTRICON aims to continue fostering dialogue and innovation in the field of nutrition, anticipating broader participation and deeper exploration of emerging trends. The event highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing nutritional science and promoting healthier lifestyles across diverse communities.
